This Owl quilt was custom made for Claire's baby due 1st March. The design was too complement the owl pictures already purchased for the nursery. Kona Pastel tones were used as well as appliquéd owls on trees to bring the theme altogether. I also made a owl mobile matching the quilt owls.
The quilt needed to be gender neutral  so while Mummy and Daddy owls were pink and blue, brother owl blue and green....baby owl was in purples hues.
After Claire selected printed fabrics to be blended with the pastel solids.....I had a feeling the quilt was leaning more to the girly side.....and sure enough Charlotte was born. Welcome to the big world Charlotte, I hope your quilt keeps you nice and warm for many years!!!!

This custom quilt for Pips little baby boy needed cute puppies. After searching for many design Pip settled on this very cute fabric in chocolates, creams and grey. I added a steely blue background fabric to make the fussy cut squares pop and to make it a quilt that would grow with him.
Quilting it together with straight vertical lines gives it a modern feel and the texture is great.
Nothing beats Puppy Love.
